What is NF1?
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a genetic condition that causes tumours to grow along your nerves. The tumours are usually non-cancerous (benign) but may cause a range of symptoms.

There are currently more than 26,500 people with Neurofibromatosis in the UK. There is no cure for Neurofibromatosis, but it makes a great difference to a person's quality of life if they are provided with adequate and effective support and care, from birth onwards.
