In honor of Jewish Heritage Month and to celebrate our Shine a Light on Jews of Color program, we will be connecting together as a community, celebrating our stories, and hearing from Kiyomi Kowalski, an Afro-Latin, queer, Jewish, Marine Corps veteran and mother, whose identities and and career coalesce in elevating diversity and inclusion.The evening starts with a light reception from 5-545 followed by Kiyomi's talk with plenty of time for Q&A.
The program is made possible by the City of San Luis Obispo's DEI High Impact Grant and Cal Poly's Office of Diversity and Inclusion. SLO Hillel is hosting the event in partnership with the Diversity Coalition of SLO County.
