Medieval Summer, Shield-painting sessions
A wonderful opportunity to get creative and design your own heraldry on pre-made shields, set in the midst of our Medieval Summer at the Gardens.
Join our volunteers under the Stretch Tent and explore Medieval Heraldry by painting whatever elements you want to form your very own coat of arms.
What will you choose?
Will it be a fearsome creature like a Griffin or Wyvern? Or will your coat of arms represent the wealth of Medieval Britain, with wool, wheat or even apples? Maybe you'd like to reflect your hobbies like music or reading.
It's your choice!
What to expect?
- All materials provided, including the shield and a hand-crafted wooden sword
- On hand assistance from our crafting volunteers
- 1.5 hours of creativity
- Access to the Gardens all day
- Free access to the Medieval Summer trail
Tickets:
£15 per child, each ticket includes ONE adult. Additional adults will pay £5.
