Come explore and dance to the captivating art of Shibari, a traditional Japanese form of rope bondage! In addition to the hands on workshop, there will be an incredible demonstration of rope art by Reno Rope Bite, a space for Shibari-ing, and, of course, the hand-crafted drinks of Black Rabbit. This night is perfect for friends looking to drink tasty drinks while learning about an ancient art form.Workshop (7:30-9:30 pm; Doors Open: 7 pm; $20) Dive into the world of sensuality, trust, and connection as you explore the beauty of Shibari. During the class, our experienced instructor from Reno Rope Bite will guide you through various terms, techniques, and practices of intention, safety, and consent. We'll then explore the art of tying knots and creating visually stunning patterns, such as single-column tie, double-column-tie, Hojo cuff, and futomomo. Each participant or pair needs at least 30 ft of rope. If you do not have Shibari rope, we will be selling it at the class or you can add it on to this ticket (see below).
**Consent Rules/Etiquette**
The space will be open for (non-sexual) play the whole evening. Alcohol is served so please be aware of your consumption and anyone who you may tie with. Please only engage in situations that are within the risk profiles of everyone involved.

No touching of people or their belongings without their consent.
No taking photos or videos of anyone without their consent (please pay attention to who might be tying around you/in the background before doing so).

CONSENT POLICY
This is a safe space for everyone. We will not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination, or unwanted approaches. We want to create a welcoming environment where anyone can safely communicate what they want and don't want from every interaction. If anyone engages in any sort of predatory behavior or is making you uncomfortable, please alert the hosts. We will believe you and help in any way we can, whether by facilitating conversations or removing someone from the space.
CONSENT BEST PRACTICES
ASK before engaging in any form of conversation or rope play with anybody. If you are unsure about how to go around this, come up with a script beforehand (ex. "Hey, I'd love to try X with you. Would you like to do that too?").
Yes means yes, every other answer is a no. Maybe is a no, mumbling is a no, deflection is a no. Give space to the other person to truly think about any approach and give you an honest answer. Please be respectful, and receive ANY response with a "thank you".
Remember consent can change from one moment to the next, and it is OK. If someone is a YES for something, does not mean they will still be a YES in 5 minutes. Please check in with your partners continuously.
We will go over our consent policy at the beginning of the evening, as well as with any late arrivals. Anyone found to be a creeper, or that violates our consent policy will be removed from the space. We reserve the right for admission and permanence.
Reach out to the host(s) (Eudoxia at [email protected]) with any questions.
