Shibari rope jam and social for bigger bodied people and allies

Facilitating community based events is so important to us, we will be facilitating this event for bigger bodied people to come together for a rope jam and social. Allies are welcome at this event, if you are an ally please remember you are a guest in this space.
This event is open to ALL skill levels, see below for further information.

As this is a rope jam, there will be no class and no teaching. This is a space to meet like-minded bigger bodied people and allies to do Shibari in a space specifically curated for the experience of bigger bodied people.
The social will run for the first 30 minutes of the event (12.30-1pm), we will do a brief introduction to the space and each other and then you are free to socialise. There is no expectation to do any rope during this event, if you would rather socialise throughout the entire event you are absolutely welcome to.

Some important info:

• There will be no teaching/class element to this event
• This event is open to all skill levels however we do ask that you practice within your skill level to ensure safety
• Please bring your own rope if you can. There is some communal rope for those who don't have their own supply
• We will not be pairing/partnering people for this event. We can introduce people during the social but we may not be able to find you a person to tie with.
• We will have monitors at this event, they are here to ensure everything is safe and fun. They will only interrupt scenes if there is a risk to safety.
• If you don't know any rope but want to attend, let our host know at the beggining and we can run through some basic knots for you to try.
  

This event will be held at Anatomie Studio in Peckham which is a purpose built shibari studio with multiple points and plenty of floor space

This is a rope workshop/social and not a pl4y event, there is no s£xual pl4y allowed at all.

Accessibility:

• This venue is ground floor fully accessible
• There will be soft lighting and soft music during the jam
• There is a small chill-out seating area in the venue
• This class will be on the floor however the flooring is soft, cushions/floor supports are available
• There is a mezzaine up 1 flight of stairs however the rest of the space is accessible

We do not tolerate hate of any kind and any racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, fatphobia, ableism or hate speech. Anyone found breaking this rule will be removed from the venue and given a lifetime ban.
