About this Event
Step into a one-of-a-kind, self-guided, figure drawing session that invites you to explore the body in motionless motion—our very own Kitt (@breakmeoffsomekitt) is joined by her friend Darren, who will gracefully suspend her in intricate Shibari rope work. This class offers artists a rare opportunity to sketch and observe the human form in contorted, expressive positions that reveal the power, vulnerability, and quiet drama of suspension.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to stretch your creative muscles, this is a welcoming space to deepen your appreciation for anatomy, gravity, and the art of visual storytelling. The dynamic lines of the rope combined with the model's posture create striking compositions that challenge and inspire.
This 2-hour class will be very similar to a traditional figure drawing class with 1, 3, 5, and 15 minute poses with the added flare of suspensions, partials, and floor ties! We will collectively take a break roughly halfway in.
Please note:This is a respectful, non-sexual, and art-focused environment. The model may be partially or fully nude, as is standard in traditional figure drawing. No photography is allowed. Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct at all times—this includes honoring the model, the art of Shibari, and the community space.
