"Magnifica Humanitas: Building a Humane Future in the Age of AI"
Description: Dr. Jenislawski will summarize and reflect upon the themes of Leo XIV's recently released encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas. Half of the encyclical presents a framework of Catholic social justice principles for addressing the problems of the digital revolution. The other half concerns the challenges of building a humane future in the Age of AI.
Bio: Eric Jenislawski is Associate Professor of Theology at Christendom College, where he has taught for 23 years. He holds degrees in Physics and Philosophy from Yale College, a Master's degree in Philosophical Theology from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the Catholic University of America. He has had a lifelong interest in computer science and programming.

Shenandoah Valley TOT is held on the third Monday of each month. The June 15 event will be held at Osteria Maria restaurant, located at 510 S Royal Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630. It is hosted in partnership with Young Adults of St. John the Baptist and Sacred Heart Young Adults.
All adults (ages 19-35) single and married of all faith backgrounds are invited.
Socializing and drinks begin at 6:30 p.m. and the talk begins at 7:30 p.m.
