Shelter is based on The Lower Depths, drama by Russian playwright M. Gorky. It presents a microcosm of life at the bottom of society. The routine of misery, brutality, uncertain prospects, crashed [or crushed?] illusions of the shelter dwellers in Russia of 1900-ies resonates with many troubling issues in the 21st century.
This performance is entirely in Russian and is 2 hours and 20 minutes long with 2 intermissions. It is appropriate for ages 10+ due to subject matter. Anyone under 10 years of age will not be admitted into the auditorium.
Please note that tickets are available by phone and web only. The ticket office is closed for walk-up sales and will only be open 1 hour prior to this performance.
