Live from Continental Treat Jasper Avenue. Venue Cover Charge in effect.Vocalist Shelley Jones is a popular singer whose music touches upon Jazz, Latin and contemporary pop. A long-time vocalist on the Alberta music scene, Jones has performed numerous concerts and recorded several solo albums.
Recently, Jones has embarked on a brand-new project where she features the music of the legendary Burt Bacharach and Hal David, two of the greatest pop/jazz songwriters of the 20th century.
Performing several songs from the Bacharach/David songbook such as “Walk on by”, “The Look of Love”, “I Say a Little Prayer” and many more, Jones pays loving tribute to Bacharach/David with sophisticated arrangements that showcase the mastery of the compositions. Jones’ band of some of Alberta’s finest musicians provide the backing.
With a vision to uplift the audience with timeless, melodic pop, classic jazz and Latin standards, this is a show for all ages to enjoy.
