About this Event
Our springtime saunter passes through several habitat types, each with its own fascinating flora and fauna. Along our route, we'll see many spring wildflowers, a sulfur spring, and 15-million-year-old marine fossils.
Borges Ranch is on the National Register of Historic Places. After our hike, we can stroll around the barn, corrals, outbuildings, blacksmith shops, and antique farm equipment. The ranch is also home to many farm animals, including goats, chickens, pigs, and sheep!
The East Bay hills are at increasing risk of wildfires due to our changing climate. Learn about our work and research to help the Bay Area prepare.
