Come celebrate the release of Sasha Adrian's second EP Shell!! We're super excited to share these songs with you and hope to see you at Dagmars Bodega on OCT 3RD for a premiere listen to the EP, a first viewing of the music video by award winning photographer Lasse Bak Mejlvang, release of her two first EP's on vinyl(!!!) and a maybe some live music?<3 <3 Just home from the international showcase festival Waves Vienna, and following the release of the title track Shell Sasha Adrian is now ready with her sophomore EP. Sasha Adrian has an ability to narrate the world in a way that lets the listener understand the big picture she is painting through the strokes of everyday life. With her debut EP Token(2023) and her latest single IMDb(Jan 2024) she made it abundantly clear that she is not afraid to touch difficult and unusual themes in her music (although she loves a good breakup song).
Her new single Shell is also the title track of her forthcoming EP, on which each of the five songs represent a step on the way to healing after experiencing assault.
“The word ‘shell’ is a metaphor for the transformation that these songs are all about. Going from feeling paralyzed, to breaking out of that same shell and being able to talk about what has happened. It feels powerful to me every single time I talk about these experiences - each time I share it, it feels like it loosens it’s grip of me a little. My shell is still here sometimes, but in a very positive way where I get to decide when to stay in and when to come out. It helps me to set boundaries and protect myself.”
Shell the EP will be released on VINYL as a double EP with Shell on side A and her debut EP Token on side B. If you wanna pre-order you have the chance to win a test press:) Shell will be available on all platforms on Oct 4th and is released by Celebration Records.
