Her Mountain Majesty, otherwise known as Andi Lee Scher, is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from outside Baltimore, MD. After a long layover in Los Angeles, Scher is currently living in Seattle, WA where she writes, records, and produces music in her makeshift home studio.
Part indie folk rock, part bluesy alt country, Her Mountain Majesty sings of the restless longing human spirit desperately seeking a sense of belonging and coming home to oneself. With melodies woven in difficult truths laced with intricate bass-driven acoustic rhythms, Her Mountain Majesty examines the common threads that bind us together in stories, songs, and in humanity as a greater whole.
Her Mountain Majesty was born out of a desire to step back into music after nearly a decade. With a few pieces of basic recording gear accompanied by a family of stringed instruments including acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass, Scher began to rely on her own ear and intuition as she began to teach herself to record. The name pays homage to the many humble voices of women through history who have moved mountains and paved the way for women to take up space and make their voices heard.
