Winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition, Sheku Kanneh- Mason became a household name worldwide after performing at the May 2018 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle. Noted for his “astonishingly refreshing lyricism” (EarRelevant), he “is a player who makes you tune in to every nuance of articulation, every subtle shading, every eloquent turn of phrase” (The Times).
Isata Kanneh-Mason’s 2019 debut Decca Classics album, Romance, entered the UK classical charts at No. 1 At London’s Kings Place, “brother and sister played symbiotically” for his solo recital debut and were praised as “immensely engaging” (The Independent).
Vancouver Classical Music proclaimed their 2017 duo recital a “feast,” adding: “It would be difficult to think of a young cellist in recent times that has brought such strength and splendour to the instrument. And to witness the creative force within the Kanneh-Mason family is something one can only marvel at.”
