SheJumps is partnering up with Seed Lab to bring this Outdoor Gear Repair workshop to you! Registration must be completed via Seed Lab to attend: https://www.anchoragemuseum.org/visit/calendar/event-details/?id=i52jrv9jte15f33nhgd00ap5a0Event Description:
Tune your gear up after a summer of adventures. Learn about working with tech fabrics and the basics of replacing hardware such as buckles and straps (not including zippers). Discuss how to open a garment from the lining to access seams.
Bring a project to work on for hands-on guidance. Free fabric to use or take home will be available from the material library. Workshop led by teachers Amy Meissner, Jamie Hirano, and Ming Stephens. Doors open at 6 p.m., instruction begins at 6:30 p.m. Free. Registration recommended.
Feeling inspired by the outdoors? Make sure to check out Northern Boarders, an exhibition looking at boarding culture in Alaska. Now on view in the atrium.
