About this Event
Join us for a series of three scenic hikes organized by SheJumps - designed especially for women and girls of all ages! Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just starting out, this series offers a welcoming space to connect with nature, build community, and challenge yourself across some of Utah’s most beautiful trails.
🍂 Hike 3: Rattlesnake Gulch Trail
Date & Time: Saturday, October 11th at 8:00 AM
Meeting Spot: Rattlesnake Gulch Parking Area, Salt Lake City, UT 84109
What to Expect:
Meet your SheJumps lead wearing purple at the Rattlesnake Gulch parking area.
This moderate 3.1-mile round trip hike features about 675 feet of elevation gain with beautiful canyon and valley views.
Expect to spend roughly 1.5–2 hours hiking, including time to enjoy the overlook and take photos.
Finding the Trailhead:
From Salt Lake City, follow Mill Creek Canyon Rd about 1.5 miles into the canyon. The Rattlesnake Gulch parking area is on the left side. Look for parking signs and the trailhead entrance near the lot.
Additional Notes for All Hikes:
Please come prepared with water, appropriate footwear, sun protection, and snacks if desired.
Dogs are welcome on all trails but be mindful of leash rules (even/odd days).
The SheJumps lead will be wearing purple to make it easy to spot your guide.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to meet the group and get ready to hike.
All hikes will start promptly at the listed times.

Cost: Access to Millcreek Canyon is $5 a car, paid upon exit from the canyon. It is card only. Save money by carpooling!
Who can attend?: We welcome all women and girls—transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary people. This hike is open to all ages 8+ and all skill levels - beginners are ENCOURAGED! Any participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We will go at the pace that best suits our entire group. However, please note that the trail will NOT be ADA Accessible. Pre-registration is required for all attendees.
If you need to request any accommodation(s) for the hike, please do so at checkout. We will do our best to accommodate the needs of all of our participants so everyone can enjoy the hike to the fullest with us.
*Please note: the event is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. We will let you know as late as the night before if we need to cancel due to weather conditions.
Facility & accessibility information: There are no bathrooms available in the parking lot or on the trail (Check out our blog post about how to “go” outside!). Plan accordingly! The trail is not an ADA trail.
