Join SheJumps for a fun, moderately challenging hike at Mission Trails on January 10th

Come adventure with SheJumps as we make our way to the summit of South Fortuna Mountain!
This 4.5-mile out-and-back trail offers about 1,100 ft of elevation gain and typically takes 2.5–3 hours—perfect for a solid workout with an awesome group. Rated moderate by TrailForks, it’s a great challenge without feeling out-of-reach.
As we near the top, we’ll take on a set of steep stairs—but don’t worry! There are plenty of spots to pause, catch your breath, and cheer each other on. And once we reach the summit, we’ll be rewarded with sweeping views and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Who Can Attend?: We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people. All minors (under age 18) must be supervised by a parent or guardian for the full event. This is considered a moderate hike, having some hiking experience in the Mission Trails area is recommended.

What to wear: Trail shoes or hiking boots recommended, you will need the traction! Dress in layers to allow you to quickly and easily regulate your temperature as we move along the trail. Check the weather the day before the event to know what to expect!
What to bring: Beyond the right clothing to stay comfortable throughout the hike, we additionally recommend bringing sufficient water, snacks, and any life-saving Medic*tion you may need. SheJumps will bring a basic first aid kit.
Facility and Accessibility:
- Because of the natural trail conditions and stair sections, this hike is unfortunately not ADA-accessible
- Some skill required. 4.5-mile out-and-back trail offers about 1,100 ft of elevation gain and typically takes 2.5–3 hours
- Bathrooms are not available at the trailhead
- There is a parking lot at the end of Claremont Mesa Drive and plenty of street parking if the lot is full
