These climbs challenge you physically, mentally, and emotionally, while raising vital funds to support the SheJumps mission. From your very first donation to your final steps off the mountain, you will be part of the Girafficorn community-proving just how powerful women can be when we rise together.
ABOUT THE CLIMB
One of the most recognizable mountains in the country, the Grand Teton has drawn visitors to the Jackson Hole area as long as history has been recorded. The mystique of this iconic mountain is captivating for anyone who has seen it in person. A crucible of American alpinism, the climbers who honed their craft here in the golden age went on to lead first ascents of big walls of Yosemite, the Patagonian spires, and the Himalaya. Become part of its history by standing on top and join us for an amazing summit and a greater appreciation for the remarkable alpine environment only the Tetons can deliver.
Climbing the Grand Teton begins with a prep day of gear fitting and skills training to ensure you’re ready for the mountain. On the first day, you’ll hike seven miles up Garnet Canyon to Corbet High Camp, gaining over 4,000 feet of elevation before settling into camp and reviewing climbing techniques. Summit day is a challenging 2-mile ascent that climbs 2,700 feet over technical terrain, with your guide selecting the safest route based on conditions. Weather permitting, you’ll stand atop the iconic Grand Teton before descending back to camp, with an optional third day available for either a second summit attempt or a relaxed return hike.
