1-DAY INTRO TO COLORED PENCIL WORKSHOP
SHEILA HENDRIX
October 16, 2027
Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
$125 for Museum members / $200 for Non-members
Minimum 6 / Maximum 14 students
The Booth Art Academy (TRC Building)
1 North Gilmer Street
Cartersville, GA 30120
PH: 770.387.1553
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Most of us have some experience dabbling with colored pencils, either as a child in art class or as an adult with colored pencil coloring books. But did you know that they are much more sophisticated than just doodling? In this workshop, we will delve into this versatile fine art medium, while we create a colored pencil botanical painting. We will explore various colored pencil techniques including how to layer color using different pencil strokes and pressure, as well as burnishing and fusing those layers to create a smooth blended look. Various tools will be utilized as well, including colorless blenders, solvents, and even some common household items.
