We're doing something special in June — joining Maywood Environmental Park's annual Walk on the Wild Side fundraiser walk! Register here and make sure to join the She Walks Sheboygan team - https://gomaywood.org/walk-on-the-wild-side/ - cost is $15 for general public, $10 for Maywood members.About the walk:
3 miles through Maywood's beautiful trails, visiting as many of the park's unique habitats as possible along the way. Trails are mostly mulched or grass — relatively flat with no difficult inclines, though watch for occasional tree roots. A final map of the trail is yet to come!
Good to know:
✅ We will take a group pic and start walking at 11:05
✅ We'll plan to meet outside the Sugar House next to the Ecology Center
✅ Strollers welcome
✅ Food & coffee welcome on the trail
✅ Snacks & beverages available for purchase at the event
❌ No dogs or pets
⛈️ Rain or shine — dress for the weather!
FYI - Open Door Bird Sanctuary is doing a live bird presentation at 9:00 AM (runs ~45 min) and a bird meet-and-greet from 10–11 AM.
