SHE STEAMS Stem Academy participants will have aiming to introduce boys & girls between the ages 8-16 to the multiple facets of STEM, particularly computer science and engineering. Participants will meet monthly to engage in various one-of-a-kind STEM-related opportunities, including exclusive “Code-it-Yourself” Workshops . Additionally, despite the social boundaries imposed by COVID-19, the STEM Academy reinforces the importance of inclusion and fellowship by incorporating team building events and recreational activities such as movie and trivia nights. By the end of the program on “Demo Day”, parents will be invited to see the work participants have completed throughout the workshops and meet the mentors involved.
