She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ’90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.~ Concord Theatricals
Led by Directors Kaitlen Osburn and Marie Finch-Koinuma and Student Director Nadia Richardson, Fight Director Mike Lubke, and Student Choreographer Ayana Churcher, more than 200 students are contributing their time and talents to this epic play!
She Kills Monsters is rated PG-13 for language, mature themes, and stage combat. The understudies will perform on Saturday evening.
Curtain time is 7 p.m. for shows May 9-11 (Thursday-Saturday) and 2 p.m. May 11 and 12 (Saturday and Sunday).
Reserved seats are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (60+) and youth. General admission is $5; free for all Roseville Area Schools students. Tickets on sale in advance in the HomeTown Fan app (search for Roseville Area Senior High, then Theatre), link in bio, or at the door.
