We will honor and pay tribute to women who have found a way to turn tragedy into triumph and encourage other women to find their voice even things may seem hard. Our hope is to inspire attendees to find a way to give back even when they may be going through a hard time themselves - that using their hard times to inspire others is a great healer.
Sisters Empowering Women Inc. works to support at-risk teenage girls in their journey to adulthood - teaching them how to communicate effectively, advocate for themselves, guard their mental health and value their voice. Our Journal the Journey program provides writing and communications enrichment for girls in grades 11-12. The goal is to help under represented girls find their voice and enhance the writing and communication skills so that they are confident in their ability to articulate their needs, wants and aspirations with confidence and without fear of any label that maybe be placed on them.
