SHE IS HOPE LA invites single mothers to participate in our “SHE IS” Series: Mama Talks, an empowering event focused on healing through storytelling. This is a safe and supportive space for single moms to share their stories, connect with others, and experience the transformative power of storytelling.

Storytelling is a powerful tool for healing and empowerment. By sharing your story, you can process past experiences, inspire others, and build a sense of solidarity and strength.

About:

We’re excited to announce a special in-person event for our SHE IS HOPE LA "SHE IS" Series Mama Talks in January! This transformative event will be led and hosted by the inspiring Mirage Thrams, giving our moms a unique opportunity to conquer their fears of public speaking, share their stories, and experience the power of connecting in person with others who understand and have been there.

Pre-event Homework for our Mamas:

Who do others say you are? Who do you believe you are? Which perspective speaks the loudest to you?
Divide this into two columns. Reflect deeply over three or more days, considering what people said about you before age 18 (if relevant) and after. Which labels feel most true or influential- whether or not you want them to be?
Also! Who is a confident “Mama” you look up to or that inspires you?
Write these things down and bring them with you to the Clubhouse and prepare to present in front of everyone or we can have actors do it for you!

Mirage Thrams () is a performer, director, award-winning cinematographer, writer, instructor, Laughtivist (comedic activist), creator & director of “Clip Tease,” co-director for the, and is based in Hollywood, CA.

She is currently the most sought after African American comedic director and the most active and visible black female director in Hollywood. Mirage is open about her battle with breast cancer and promotes living with purpose, success, beauty and love in the journey. She is passionate about empowering the voice of the voiceless.
