Get ready to groove to the beats of ShawnMikael[s] and his talented friends as they take the stage and create a magical atmosphere. This in-person event promises to be a night to remember, so grab your friends and come on down to the Galactic Panther Art Gallery for an unforgettable experience!

For their next show on Saturday, November 16th at the hallowed Galactic Panther in Old Town Alexandria, ShawnMikael[s] is, well, changing things up and (literally) singing a different tune: we're inviting two musical-improv specialists, Julie Tice and Christina Ferrari, and their accompanist, Michael Gottlieb, to our stage, where they will improvise a musical right before your very eyes. You read that right: they'll make up the melodies, lyrics, and book to a musical based on suggestions from you, the audience. What's more, Michael Gottlieb will stick around to help "score" the ShawnMikel[s] portion of the show, adding musical atmosphere to what's already a fun structure. And: Shawn and Mikael are still working out the details regarding the addition of some special surprise guests. It'll all take place Saturday, Nov. 16th at 8 pm. Don't miss it!

ShawnMikael[s] — a two-man long-form improvisational show combining the talents of two of the DC improv scene’s veteran improvisers: Mikael Johnson, a mainstay at Washington Improv Theater’s long-form troupe Jackie, and Shawn Westfall, for 12 years the exclusive teacher of improv at the DC Improv, founding cast-member of iMusical, The Improvised Musical; and most recently the co-founder and Artistic Director of The Unified Scene Theater in Washington, DC. They've played on comedy festival stages across the country, including Philadelphia, Kansas City, Charleston, Baltimore, Richmond, and here in DC, including The Capital Fringe Fest in 2012, where they were named “Best Of The Fringe.”
