Shawnee Kilgore's Wonder What Wednesdays

Shawnee Kilgore's Wonder What Wednesdays began in July 2018 as a challenge to play only original songs for a month of Wednesdays without repeating or playing anything from her then 5 studio albums. She introduced Let That Songbird Bingo (a spin on her musical motto/ethos Let That Songbird Go) and a guest each night to swap songs and each play a surprise cover of the other artist.

There have now been 41 WWW shows at 5 different venues and Shawnee has played 351 original songs. If you’ve heard it on a Wednesday you’ll never hear it at another one! Come see what she’s got left in the vault and welcome Alyse Black to the WWW stage.

Alyse Black started out belting Billie Holiday tunes a cappella on the streets of Pike Place Market in Seattle for pocket change. Since then, she's performed on NPR, recorded a commercial for Target, won Billboard's Annual Songwriting Contest, had several songs placed in movies and TV shows, garnered an endorsement deal with Fishman Amps, and toured the country playing nearly 700 clubs, theaters, festivals, television shows and radio stations. People say that her music "sounds like falling in love,” that it sounds like acceptance and sensuality and raw vulnerable humanness.
