Yes, it’s that time of year for ‘Shaun’s Rubbish Ride’. Why, you ask, is it a Rubbish Ride? Because, there’s very little riding involved due to Mother Natures disdain for drier, warmer weather during the abstruse month of January..! However, some of us hardened criminals will be navigating our small wheeled contrivances to the event. For those so inclined, join us for a hearty English Fry up at Doyles while sequestered in the ‘nook’. After we are physically fueled, the challenge will be to roll down to the Pythian Temple without starting your motor. Just kidding, we’ll attempt to squeak in a 30 minute ride, weather permitting (if it is snowing or dangerously icy, please use alternative methods of propulsion to sliver your way over to the destination(s)). This year, we have been very graciously permitted a private guided tour of the Pythian Temple at 12:30 PM. Although no official admission has been requested or posted, you are strongly encouraged to make a respectable donation to the Knights of Pythias during the tour. After ordination and oaths sworn, we shall repair to the other Neighborhood temple, McMenamins, to plan the next crusade or we may just slink over to Shaun’s Temple for a ‘Bed Nobs and Broomsticks’ singalong. Temperature of the mood will be taken at the time…
