When using high speed lathe tools to turn, sharpening the tool is as important a step as mastering the use of the tool itself. In this Lecture/Demonstration students will be introduced to several different sharpening systems available through Rockler; a bench grinder outfitted with the One way Wolverine Sharpening Jig System, the Sorby Pro-Edge System and the Tormek System. The student will also be shown how to hone carbide cutters with a diamond file. Eye and ear protection is required to participate.
