Sharktober Wildlife Adventure in the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary
About this Event

Celebrate the return of the white sharks after their annual migration, and all wildlife in our Sanctuary! Coastal upwelling is making this year another of the more productive years in the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary -with Blue, Fin and Humpback Whales feeding nearshore, happy fledging seabirds and nice fat pinnipeds in the Gulf and at the Farallon Islands.

Join Shark Conservationist and Naturalist David McGuire and other wildlife specialists celebrating sharks and all ocean life on a life-changing expedition into the Gulf of the Farallones for whales, wildlife and our finny friends.

These events are on a US Coast Guard inspected vessel, the AMIGO, departing from San Francisco near the Fisherman's Wharf, crossing the Gulf 30 miles to visit the waters of the Farallon Island Wildlife Refuge.

Join us learning about marine wildlife from plankton to whales and how we can continue to protect them.
