SINK your teeth into this class where you will learn about Great white sharks, Makos, and Megalodons! You’ll get an up-close look at a real shark jaw, feel shark skin, make a shark tooth, and dissect a REAL shark! WARNING: Venturing into the deep water can be dangerously FUN!SAFETY FIRST: The instructor will introduce the safe use and communication skills necessary to perform the dissection in a manner consistent with all laboratory guidelines. This insures students will receive the best of science experiences while promoting SAFETY FIRST. Non-latex gloves will be provided to each student as well as eye protection.
*All students are free to choose not to dissect a shark as part of the team experience. He/She may observe as part of the active participation.
Please wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and comfortable clothes. Bring water and snacks. Registration fee includes all materials used in class.
Class is limited to 15 shark specialists. Ages 8-14 years.
