Shark Day (Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital)
About this Event
Sharks are one of the most successful apex predators on the planet, and far too often misunderstood. Join the National Aquarium as we explore their biology and look at the fascinating adaptations that have allowed them to survive for nearly 400 million years.
During this classroom event, Girl Scouts will investigate sharks, both past and present, and learn about their vital role in keeping the ocean healthy. All participants will receive a National Aquarium patch.
Because of limited parking and lobby seating, we strongly encourage your troop to arrange to drop Girl Scouts off and have chaperones attend (at a ratio of one adult to every five children).
- Ages: 5 -11 (Daisy, Brownie and Junior level Girl Scouts)
- Cost: $18 per Girl Scout
- Minimum/Maximum Participation: 12/28
