Dive into a day all about sharks at the Virginia Living Museum.
Sharks play an important role in keeping our oceans healthy, and Shark Day is designed to help guests better understand these fascinating animals through hands-on activities, keeper talks, photo opportunities, and conservation-focused experiences for the whole family.
Throughout the day, guests can explore shark and ray biofacts, meet local conservation and research partners, learn how sharks use the Chesapeake Bay, and even touch a shark in our touch pool.

Learn how shark research is happening right here in Virginia through hands-on activities focused on what it’s like to be a shark scientist.
