Welcome to SKOK's Water and Care Network's third event, where we invite you to become immersed in the soundscape WE ARE WATER by Bergen-based artist Daiyen Jone and participate in a workshop with Cabo Verdean architect Patricia Anahory on water and memory, belonging, resistance and care.

Sharing water/s: collective reflections on memory, belonging, resistance and care
Anahory will share reflections on her architectural practice, engaging with multiple dimensions of water to explore the entanglement of colonial continuities embedded in spatial narratives.
The workshop invites participants to think with water as a relational field, moving from an understanding of water as resource or commodity towards water as an emotional, ancestral, cultural, (infra)structural and critical lens – as archive, portal, and kin.
Participants are invited to bring objects, writings, drawings, photographs, stories as prompts for collectively mapping relationships, memories, and entangled histories across oceans and geographies.
Through conversation and exchange, the group will collectively reflect on their relationships with water to consider how to cultivate critical planetary understandings that are non-extractivist, anti-racist, decolonial, and reparatory.
