Let's Celebrate America 250 in Falcon on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 6:00PM. The public is invited to this free event.
The Exchange Club of Falcon is hosting a nationwide program initiated and sponsored by the Hawai'i America250 Commission. We are happy to share a project related to America250 and the Declaration of Independence - "Sharing the Spirit of America."
Just as the Declaration of Independence was read to the people on July 8, 1776, now, 250-years later, Americans in all 50 states, 5 territories, the District of Columbia, and Minor Outlying Islands of the United States will read the Declaration of Independence 'together.' (within a 2-hour timeframe)
We are announcing that we will have a reading of the Declaration of Independence at Falcon Fire Station 3 (7020 Old Meridian Road, Falcon) at 6:00PM. The public is invited to this FREE invite and bring your lawn chairs to listen to our readers. Once we have our five readers identified, we will post them on Facebook and Instagram.
The Declaration of Independence has 5 parts to it (The Introduction, The Preamble, The Indictment (The Grievances), The Denunciation and The Conclusion. We are currently sending invitations out to many community leaders, first responders, veterans, students and leaders to read the 5 parts to the public.
As of today, Falcon is the only location doing this special reading in Colorado. This is part of our America250 celebration.
If anyone would like more information please contact Don Koveleski at (719) 369-5158 via call/text or email [email protected].
