Shared LITE Development Series: Strategically Squishy Leadership
About this Event
"Leaders are responsible to engage people in the business, and to develop the business for the people — internally and externally."
Tulsa is losing nonprofit leaders fast. And when a mission is built on one person, their exit doesn't just leave a vacancy — it shakes the whole foundation. Programs stall. Funders get nervous. The people who stay carry the weight of the people who left.
This in-person event dives into the art of being strategically squishy—flexible, adaptable, and effective through engagement and development.
Together we will cover:
- The core values of leadership — and your own style
Start with the leader. We'll surface the core values underneath how you lead, and find your own opportunities to develop your style.
- How leadership and change impact engagement
Engagement isn't a perk — it's the result of how leaders carry change. We connect the two directly: what you do, and what it does to your people (retention and turnover).
- A change model for organizational shifts
A shared framework for moving an organization through change on purpose — so shifts are led, not survived.
- Pathways for engagement through org-development levers
The practical build. We create engagement pathways through the org-development levers every sustainable organization runs on — with succession and development planning as the focus of this session.
This isn't a motivational talk, its leadership development . Leaders will leave with a clear understanding of how to engage and develop in their organizations.
Good to Know: There will be fruit, nuts, cofee and water available.
Shared LITE is a Giving Circle established in 2025 to illuminate pathways in giving for non-profits in Tulsa. The vision is to develop a fund that can help non profits meet their needs to meet the needs of the community. A portion of the funds from this workshop will be contributed to this fund.
