Share the Knowledge: Perimenopause & Other Topics

🗣️ Recently, I attended a talk about perimenopause by a female German GP with further training on the topic.

🥼 Even gynaecologists get scant training on the subject of peri/menopause, female hormones/changes, effects and treatments. It is woefully under-researched and under-prioritised. Training is optional and self-funded. This makes me mad! 😤

🌍 Given that it affects most women between late 30s and early 50s in some way - sometimes to the extreme, before menopause even begins - it’s a topic I’d like to support in bringing into the world. I’m not an expert, but I do want to share my take-aways and open the topic for discussion.

ℹ️ I invite you to come together to hear my learnings, share your own experiences, and to discover you have options and are not alone.

✏️ The format is one of input and exchange: on as many topics as we bring and wish to address on the day. I'll begin with the topic of perimenopause. I invite you to join as a pure participant AND optionally as a speaker for 5-10 minutes on something:

• you’re interested in
• you're excited about
• that’s been in someway life changing or eye-opening for you

It can be about anything. Serious, or fun, weird, or wonderful!

⏰ When? Monday 25. May from 7:30-9:30pm. Doors open 19:20.

🏡Where? Spielraum, Marchlewskistraße 33, 10243, near Weberwiese

👱Who is this for? All people who identify as female (AFAB, trans-AMAB), intersex or non-binary uterus-owners. All nationalities, bodies, and sexual orientations welcome.

📝 What to bring: Bring pen and paper and your curiosity. Wear comfy clothes and warm socks: we will be on yoga cushions and mats on the floor. Bring a water bottle and / or thermos that closes securely.

💰 Payment: Donation based (5-20€). Reserve your spot with 5€ and feel free to donate extra (fee-free!) on the day according to the value to you and your circumstances.

☕️ Expect tea, snacks, yoga mats and cushions, and good energy!

🧘 It will be in an informal and supportive environment, a small group of maximum of 8-10 womxn.
