Maya Smart is a nationally renowned literacy advocate, author and faculty at Marquette University. Ms. Smart offers a living example of how to infuse books and stories with joy in children’s lives, while also leveraging them as a means to uplift communities. Ms. Smart will address "Why America’s Reading Crisis Is Your Problem and What to Do About It", intended to equip audiences with evidence-based information and hands-on strategies designed to inform and inspire our community on what we can be doing.
