Save the date for Share My Smile's "SMILE FEST" sponsored in partnership with Bluffs Country 106.5 and Life 100.7, and also by Henry's Diner and Central Perch!Share My Smile, a local nonprofit that serves adopted and foster children, will be hosting a family festival & fundraiser this Saturday, September 7th from 11am-3pm at Bayliss Park, 100 Pearl Street, Council Bluffs. Smile Fest is a fun-filled day for families and kids that is open to EVERYONE. $5 wristband per person to play games all day ($25 bulk price for families of 5 or more). Join us for midway carnival games, hamster ball racing, Big V’s Bubble Soccer, kids' zones, bounce houses, concessions, vendors, and face-painting. Carr Productions is the entertainment sponsor with Cory & Nicole Kountze from The 1-4-5 playing from 11am-1pm, and the band Resonate performing from 1pm-3pm. Proceeds raised will support the work Share My Smile does, which includes providing birthday boxes to foster children, offering trips to the Zoo & the Children’s Museum, giving foster care children a care bag with toiletries, school supplies, and personal care items, and making sure every Share My Smile family has Christmas gifts under the tree each December. While in foster care, a child will move an average eight different times before their 18th birthday. Please come join us for Smile Fest this Saturday in Council Bluffs and help put a smile on the face of every adopted and foster child.
