About Shaq’s Bass All Stars:
Shaq's Bass All-Stars is a touring bass music festival series curated and headlined by Shaquille O'Neal under his DJ DIESEL alias, built on the turntable obsession he has carried since his teenage years and his platinum rap record Shaq Diesel. Shaq personally assembles each lineup, pulling together heavy hitters and rising talent across the full spectrum of bass, with recent bills featuring artists like Levity, Wooli, GorillaT, Jessica Audiffred, Drinkurwater, and a special bass set from T-Pain. The series runs at a mix of amphitheaters, event centers, and outdoor sites, with past stops including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Rawhide Event Center outside Phoenix, and Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, produced alongside partners including AEG Presents, Insomniac, Relentless Beats, and Disco Donnie. Upcoming dates continue the pattern, including a Buffalo Riverworks show with DJ DIESEL, Getter b2b Space Laces, INFEKT, and Green Matter, keeping the format as a one-night, all-bass, Shaq-fronted event rather than a fixed-location festival.
About the Artist: DJ Diesel
Shaquille O’Neal has been passionate about music from a very young age – at just 14 after O’Neal saw Public Enemy live for the first time, while sandwiched in a crowd of 5,000 people, he became fixated on DJ’ing. He cut his neighbors’ grass, walked dogs, and scraped together any cash that he could until he saved up $200 to buy his first set of turntables at a local pawn shop. Fast forward to 1993, Shaquille’s rap album, ‘Shaq Diesel,’ did the unthinkable of selling over a million copies and peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard 100 cementing O’Neal as the only athlete ever with a platinum-selling album. Since becoming DJ DIESEL, SHAQ has released several major bass records with acts such Steve Aoki, Riot Ten, NGHTMRE, Riot Ten, Eliminate, 4B and many more.
From there DJ Diesel’s career was born as he cemented the title of ‘the biggest DJ in the world.’ DJ Diesel has graced main stages around the globe from Lost Lands to Tomorrowland, EDC LV, Lost Lands, Lollapalooza, Electic Zoo, Forbidden Kingdom, Beyond Wonderland and even launched his own festival series – Shaq’s Bass All Stars – all while balancing a Las Vegas residency at the WYNN (XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club).
About The Container Globe:
The Container Globe is a full-scale reimagining of Shakespeare's original 1599 Globe Theatre, built in Detroit out of stacked and repurposed shipping containers instead of timber and plaster. It is the project of Angus Vail, a New Zealand native who has run the business office for KISS since 1995 and previously served as business manager for INXS, with consulting work for 3 Doors Down, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, and Charlie Puth. Vail calls it a punk rock reimagining of the Globe, built on the idea that Shakespeare's crowds stood close enough to climb onstage and that live performance works best when the audience is in it rather than watching from a distance.
It is a true DIY underground Detroit venue, assembled from 28 modified containers, painted with murals by local artists, and programmed for theater, music, dance, and community events across an April through October season. Sitting in a developing pocket of the greater Midtown area, it delivers Shakespeare, rock, and everything in between to an open, curious, adventurous audience.
