Shaping Trustful Futures by Design
About this Event
Shaping Trustful Futures by Design
On 9 July 2026, the IDZ Member Circle takes place as part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 program. Hosted together with IDZ member Manyone in Frankfurt’s Ostend, the event brings together design leaders, experts and decision makers for a full day of workshops, talks and conversations.
The day’s schedule explores the evolving role of design in the age of AI, spanning UX and product leadership, agentic systems, compliance, risk and organizational structures.
The event is structured in two parts. The morning will focus on peer-to-peer workshops. Participants can choose between a Future Foresight session led by Manyone’s Managing Partner, Hendrik von Spreckelsen, and a workshop exploring the evolving role of UX leadership in an AI-driven world, led by Manyone’s Global Managing Partner, Kate McElroy.
In the afternoon, keynotes by design leads and project pitches by award-winning talents, speakers explore how design can shape responsible technologies, enable trust and informed decision making, and support anticipation rather than reaction.
The IDZ Member Circle offers an exclusive space for professional exchange, critical discussion and meaningful connections within the IDZ network. Held in English, the event is aimed at professionals who see design not only as execution, but as a driver of future-ready organizations and systems.

Workshop 1- Navigating the Future of UX
Host: Hendrik von Spreckelsen, MD, Manyone Germany
Info: How do we prepare for the Future of UX in a rapidly changing world? We will use our Strategic Foresight process to identify fundamental shifts emerging at the intersection of AI, systemic complexity, and societal responsibility.
Because foresight is most powerful when collaborative, this session invites design and innovation leaders to stress-test these signals. We'll use a moderated roundtable to bring diverse industry perspectives to our findings and define the essential capabilities and impact areas of tomorrow.
-- Aim & Outcome: Participants will move beyond speculation to help shape a shared vision for the industry, leaving with concrete roadmap of what our discipline must become next to remain relevant and resilient.

Keynote: The Voice of AI in the Hospital
Host: Avery Sen, Managing Director, Sen Sound
Info: AI will soon arrive in hospitals, not merely as algorithms in devices, silently improving calculations, but as vocal colleagues, working alongside doctors and nurses, helping them think about care for patients. Clinicians may make the decisions, but their reasoning will be shaped by what their new partners say and how they say it. Will machines speak the careful language of clinicians to signal what they know, what they suspect, and what they doubt? Will clinicians even know they are speaking to machines? Will they trust them? Will the way clinicians speak to each other be influenced by how AI speaks to them? This presentation raises questions that must be addressed before conversational AI enters clinical settings. It is intended for AI interface designers and medical system engineers.

Impulse Talk: How Designers Thrive in the AI Age
Host: Grace Fan, Head of Design, Taskrabbit
Info: Join us for From Maker to Orchestrator: Thriving as a Product Designer in the AI Age — a fast-paced 15-minute lightning talk exploring how AI is reshaping the role of product designers. Through real workflows, live demos, and practical examples, we’ll cover how designers can move beyond execution to become orchestrators of systems, strategy, and human-centered experiences. Learn how to build adaptable skills, strengthen judgment, and thrive in a world where AI accelerates creation but humans define meaning.
🕑: 03:15 PM - 03:50 PM
Impulse Talk: Designing Trust in Agentic Commerce
Host: Kaon Kim, Senior UX Designer, Manyone
Info: Agentic AI is fundamentally reshaping the shopping experience. Consumers no longer engage only through branded interfaces, but through AI systems that interpret, recommend, and increasingly make purchasing decisions for them. This shift requires UX designers to rethink how trust is built in commerce journeys — not only between people and brands, but also with the autonomous systems shaping what consumers see and choose. This talk explores how UX must evolve to design for trust, transparency, and control in a world where experiences are increasingly mediated by AI.

New Talent Pitch 1: Space for Grief
Host: Eva Barth
Info: Space for Grief is an immersive installation that fosters community connection through the expression of grief and compassion. It transforms individual grief into a shared, embodied language, allowing the body to express what words sometimes cannot. Emotion is released by squeezing a crochet ball. Each squeeze becomes a light pulse that connects with traces left by others, merging into a living network of shared experience where each person’s energy becomes a pulsing node within the collective.
🕑: 05:15 PM - 05:25 PM
New Talent Pitch 2: STP School
Host: Viktoriia Ponomarova
Info: STP School is a digital school journal that connects teachers, students, and parents in one place. Beyond grades and schedules, it's designed to motivate students and give them visibility into their own progress. Teachers manage academic activities with ease, while parents get real-time access to their child's school life — building a more transparent and trusting school community.
🕑: 05:25 PM - 05:35 PM
New Talent Pitch 3: anamnese +
Host: Carl Bahra
Info: Anamnese Plus simplifies the acquisition of ultrasound data through intuitive device design, AI-supported real-time feedback, and visual projections onto the patient’s body. This enables medical professionals to independently and reliably collect 3D data without extensive specialist training. Remote evaluation by physicians ensures diagnostic quality while decentralizing the scanning process. Anamnese Plus improves access to essential healthcare services in rural areas facing shortages.
🕑: 05:35 PM - 06:10 PM
Keynote: Risk, Compliance, and the Path to User Trust
Host: Greg Zholdak, Head of Product Design, Moneybox
Info: The conversation will challenge the old view of risk and compliance as mere approval gates and bring the two at the forefront of product strategy. Done well, they don't slow down innovation, but rather give it direction.
Through the lens of AI agents, user trust, and responsible product leadership, we explore how risk and compliance can drive competitive advantage and help companies build reliable products with confidence.
🕑: 06:10 PM - 06:40 PM
Keynote: Resilience is Dead. Long Live the Anticipatory Organization
Host: Dirk Huesmann, CEO, wirDesign
Info: Resilience helps us endure.
AI helps us accelerate.
Design helps us understand.
Heterarchy helps us connect. The talk argues for a systemic shift: away from resilience as a survival strategy – towards anticipation as the next-level brand and organisational competence.
Anticipation lets us evolve.
