Shaped by Ice: Glacial Identities

Glacial Identities: Shaped by Ice is a group art exhibition supported by Protect Our Winters. It is at Slip Gallery in Seattle, Washington from April 11 to May 3, 2025. This show will focus on telling stories about how our glacial regions are changing and how these changes deeply impact human and natural communities at many levels, from the loss of freshwater resources to eco-systemic shifts. Our goal is to increase awareness, foster curiosity, and inspire personal connections between people and glacier loss as a visible impact of climate change. This show is curated by Jill Pelto and features 8 other artists.

The opening weekend there are 3 exciting events:

April 11th: Belltown public art walk 6-9 and the opening reception of the show with the artists, music, and free beverages

April 12th: Emma Murray landscape embroidery workshop 10-12, gallery open to the public 1-6.

April 13th: Artists and POW Panel discussion, with activities and prizes, 2-4
