Shantyland is a duo comprised of Ben Traverse and Michael Dause. This is Shantyland's first performance in three years!
Earthwork Music Collective member Ben Traverse (they/them) has been a gentle steward of tradition for over a decade. Their voice rises like mist from Michigan’s northern woods, carrying with it the echoes of working-class ballads long etched into the earth. Traverse roves across the Great Lakes Basin purveying the finest sea shanties, bluegrass, Celtic, and old time music history has to offer.
