ABOUT SHANNON MCNALLY
Thom Jurek at All Music said it best, "Only Gram Parsons' term 'Cosmic American Music' begins to touch her mercurial, changeling roots aesthetic, ... McNally is a Zen-like, post-Beat song poet”. For those who have followed McNally’s nearly twenty-year career, the thing that most sticks with the listener about her is the timeless effortlessness that she brings to all she does. With a long catalog and a longer list of peers with whom she has written, recorded, and toured, McNally continues to turn out great music that defies blatant genre-fication.
At home across the American (Americana) music spectrum, the Grammy nominee whose live music career began on the jam band circuit of the 1990s with bands like Robert Randolph and Derek Trucks writes as well as she interprets the songs of others, has a top tier musicality to her craft, a soul-stirring voice that immediately grabs one by the heartstrings and a troubadour’s wanderlust, not to mention as it turns out, she is also an excellent electric guitar player.
Like her anti-hero heroes J.J. Cale, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Dr. John, and Jim Dickinson, McNally knows who she serves. She serves the song. Her quiet but steady plodding through the many layers of the business of music hasn’t ever been rewarded with massive fame and fortune, but in time, that slow burn has become a treasure in and of itself.
The part of McNally’s narrative that is often missed is that not only has she self-managed herself for nearly all of her career, but that she has also been a stout warrior-like-artist who often went toe-to-toe with label heads and A&R to defend and fight for her visions. She left the major label world after ten years at Capital/EMI to fend for herself on various smaller labels and self-release paradigms. Perhaps the business of music is finally catching up with her independent spirit. We shall see.
ABOUT KRISTINA TRAIN
The elegant Kristina Train has a voice for the ages — and a resume to match. Hand-picked by Herbie Hancock to join his band, being on Bruce Springsteen’s permanent playlist, and collaborating with Dr. Dre are just a few of the highlights. The Savannah-bred, Nashville-based singer started at Blue Note Records as the last artist signed by Arif Mardin, paving her own trail between Americana, country, jazz, and pop.
Now, after a foray in London and appearances at the legendary Later Show with Jools Holland and the BBC’s Abbey Road Sessions, Train has four critically-acclaimed albums to her credit, including her 2009 debut, Spilt Milk, plus Dark Black (on Mercury Records), Rayon City and 2022’s Body Pressure, as well as a brand new recording set for a September 2025 release: The lush and melodic County Line was produced by Colin Devlin and Kirk Pasich at Dave’s Room in Los Angeles, a space known for legendary tracks by Tom Petty, Smokey Robinson, George Michael, Sam Phillips and others.
ABOUT THAYER SARRANO
"Meet the woman with the most world-weary voice in music: She's most assuredly creating the soundtrack to whatever becomes the next The Craft or Natural Born Killers — a little bit industrial grime, a little bit shoegaze, a little bit dark af - Refinery29
“A Southern-psych dreamland, bottling up ghosts and bringing them to life through her ethereal hymns." - Huffington Post
"Sarrano’s dreamy songwriting often gets labelled as psychedelic, but her poeticisms are
so spiritually minded that transcendental might be a better descriptor”- Immersive
Atlanta
The follow-up to 2019's Wings Alleluia, Bells (April, 2025) is a contemplative and uplifting soundtrack through themes of time, consciousness, imagination, hope, memory, and love--with influences including magical realism, science fiction, gospel, transcendentalism, and the natural and supernatural worlds.
Since 2009, Thayer has released five LPs, a live EP with a string chamber ensemble, and several singles. She has toured constantly, headlining tours in the US and Europe, as well as supporting artists like Drive-By Truckers, Television, Robyn Hitchcock, Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, and more. Her songs have been featured on several network television shows, in an installation in the Netherlands' Groninger Museum, and she has won music video awards. She has also released books of original artworks and lyrics. For the last decade, she has split her time between her two homes in Nashville, TN, and Athens, GA, where, in addition to her own band, she is a well-known collaborator with numerous acts as a session musician, composer for short films, documentaries, and visual installations.
