Shanklin Regatta returns for its 173rd year. Saturday 22nd August, Hope Road carpark and Small Hope Beach, delivering a full day of classic seaside energy, packed with traditional beach sports for both children and adults—expect sand, smiles, and a bit of friendly rivalry. Younger visitors can get creative in the popular kids’ drawing competition, while local stall holders offer crafts, treats, and community charm. There’s face painting for colourful transformations, live music to keep the atmosphere buzzing, and plenty of food to fuel the fun. The day builds to its show-stopping highlight: a much-anticipated fireworks finale lighting up the sky in spectacular style.
