The Shane Roush Memorial Tournament is an annual event whose purpose is to remember the life and friendship of Shane Roush.Shane was a teacher, coach, and athletic director of St. Mary Grade School and an avid supporter of the athletic programs at William V. Fisher Catholic High School in Lancaster, Ohio.
On August 12, 2002, at the age of 29, Shane was violently killed as an unsuspecting customer during an armed robbery in North Carolina. Since that day, the community of Lancaster, Ohio has celebrated the life of Shane and the impact his life has had on so many in our community.
The proceeds of the Memorial Tournament will support scholarships of both St. Mary Grade School and Fisher Catholic High School students with tuition needs. The event will also support the Fisher Catholic tennis team.
The members of the Shane Roush Foundation Board receive no compensation.
