So what are we retrieving?
How does one lose "soul?"
Sandra Ingerman’s Abstract on Shamanism states that,
“There are many common symptoms of soul loss. Some of the more common ones would be dissociation where a person does not feel fully in his or her body and alive and fully engaged in life. Other symptoms include chronic depression, suicidal tendencies, post-traumatic stress syndrome, immune deficiency problems, and grief that just does not heal. Addictions are also a sign of soul loss.”
For those who have lost parts of themselves, knowingly or unknowingly, “tremendous amounts of psychic energy” are unconsciously spent looking for the lost parts."
This process and class will help you to understand what has been dissociated or disconnected from you through the traumas of life, why it left, how to get it back, and how to reintegrate those old parts of the self that were sacrificed for the protection of self.
The role of the shaman in this unfolding is to hold the container for the reunification of the soul and to assist in it's integration by bridging the realms (physical and spiritual) and holding a light for the fractured pieces of the soul to find their way back.
The word shaman, originating from the Tungus Tribe of Siberia, means “one who sees in the dark.”
During the soul retrieval process, the shaman moves into an altered state of consciousness to travel to realities outside of normal perception (non-ordinary reality), also known as hidden spirit worlds, to retrieve the lost part of the soul. This is accomplished in the soundscape by aligning the person with their missing parts through mental, emotional, spiritual and physical attunement to source.

Brien Egan CRM, CKRM, CHT is an author, certified hypnotherapist, shaman, usui reiki master, karuna reiki master, raku kei reiki master, holy fire reiki master, pranic energy worker, crystal bowl sound healer, EFT practitioner, quantum touch practitioner, sedona method practitioner, chakra cleansing teacher, qi gong teacher, an ordained minister from the Essene New Life Church, has his B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Special Education and is the director of the Sound Healing Conservatory. He has been practicing and teaching spirituality for over 23 years. He has done a lot of work with children, families and individuals by leading workshops, classes and through individual or group sessions. He also designed and ran a kids spiritual summer camp for 14 years which taught children many quantum physics and spiritual concepts, meditation and mindfulness practices.
