Join me for a fun and informational intensive study course on contemporary eclectic shamanism. We will be taking traditional values and practices and putting them into very modern day applications to help empower you in all areas of your life and spiritual journey. These are the rituals and understandings I use every day in my personal shamanic work.Shamans serve as the go-between for the people and the Spirit World. I have dedicated my life to my shamanic path and have put together a program to help you get started on your own. Shamans appear in every culture and all walks of life but many of the practices remain the same through the different expressions.

What you will learn and the schedule:
March 7, 2026
1:30pm to 6:00pm
Module One:
Tools: Shane will explain the basic tools used by Medicine People from many different cultures. Participants will be encouraged to begin building their medicine bundle of these tools to use in the later modules.
Ceremony and ritual: Learn the foundation of the Seven Direction Path that Shane honors in his own practice and how ritual and ceremony can channel your medicine to make it stronger and direct it with more control.
Working with energy: The necessary understandings of how the energetic world works. This is manifesting 101
Seven Direction Calling Ceremony and group drumming: Shane will lead the group in a Ceremony to call the Seven Directions and invoke the medicine person within.

Module Two:
Ancestors: Medicine work is deeply tied to working with Ancestors and Various spirits. Shane will explain the differences in the various spirits often worked with and help you to understand your guides, loved ones, totems, and other higher beings.
Ritual to call upon the spirits: This will be a group ritual led by Shane for the sake of drawing in our own Grand Council of guides and ancestors.

Module Three:
Making smudge: When Shane was named a Shaman by the Medicine Woman who taught him he was gifted with a bundle of smudge and taught how to make it. He has taken part of the old batch and put into each new one so his smudge reaches back forty years for him and for generations before that. He will guide the group through making a new batch and those in the group will be gifted with a bundle to start their own tradition. Shane will also teach the tips for successful smudging of people, places, and things.
Home and land clearing: Shane will cover the steps he uses for clearing and blessing properties and objects beyond simple smudging.
Thought forms and bad spirits: Learn how to directly deal with negative energies and bad spirits through ritual and personal power.,

Module Four:
Shamanic healing technique Shane has developed a system for energetic healing very much like reiki but focused on the traditions and teachings of the Medicine Way. This is a teaching and an initiation that is a perfect add on to an already established healing practice or a great starting place to begin developing one.

Module Five:
Working with dreams: Discover the three main types of dreams and the purpose they serve us as medicine people. Learn how to understand the relationship between the waking and the dream worlds. This is a very common sense and easy to understand approach that will give you the tools necessary to work with your dreams.
Working with the weather : Shane will teach you about the elementals, spirits of the Four Winds that manifest as the weather and natural world. There will be a ceremony to connect with the elements and a discussion about ways to harness and direct those energies through ritual and will.

Module Six:
Journeying: A discussion and explanation of the practice of Journeying. Shane will share his personal practice with this and also offer other options to fit the individual practitioners. This will give you the understandings necessary to start the practice of taking journeys.
Soul Retrieval: This is a deeply Shamanic practice that some people perform for others as a way of retrieving the Soul Fragments that have splintered off from the individual due to traumas and negative experiences. Shane will offer an introductory explanation of the basic concepts that can be pursued by the individuals in the group at a later time if they are called to this work.
