Please join Shalom b'Harim on Saturday, August 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Unity of Gainesville for our next Shabbat Morning service. It will be led by Rabbi Matan Peled and will be followed by a Meat Potluck Luncheon.
The service will be followed by a special presentation by our congregant Mark Bauman on "The History of Jews in Colonial Georgia." A retired professor of history at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Mark is the author or editor of 11 books and the founding and current editor of Southern Jewish History.
We'll be collecting donations for the Georgia Mountain Food Bank in support of our commitment to Tikkun Olam. The Food Bank is requesting canned vegetables this month. Financial donations are always welcome, too.
