About this Event
This talk will explore cybersecurity weaknesses in modern systems and through real-world examples, demonstrate how complexities and vulnerabilities in people, processes and technology combine to create opportunities for cyberattacks. The talk will cover the intersection of work and personal IT and the complexity of the connected world where almost everything is connected to the Internet and potentially exposed in some way.
The talk aims to help system designers and/or end-users in better understanding how cybersecurity vulnerabilities manifest, and how they can be avoided.
Matt Lewis is Director of Advanced Cybersecurity Services at AmberWolf and a cyber security leader with over 23 years’ experience in the field.
He previously led NCC Group’s global research, KPMG UK’s security testing and incident response team and worked in vulnerability research at GCHQ.
With a predominantly technical consultancy-focused career, he has gained significant experience working with and advising C-suite executives and businesses across all sectors on their risk profiles, underpinned by evidence obtained as a CREST-certified penetration tester, simulated attack manager and network intrusion analyst.
