Ventura, CA is home to the powerhouse quintet known as Shaky Feelin’. Led by the visionary guitar playing and powerful vocal presence of Mark Masson, this band delivers one awe-inspiring moment after the next. The catchy, sun-drenched songs instantly spark dance parties wherever they go. This high-energy jamband mixes elements of rock, reggae, bluegrass, and funk to create live shows that leave a lasting impression.
Masson’s soaring style and buttery tone launches listeners into the galactic garden of delights. As the night progresses, they’ll siphon the simmering energy into their collective well, voyaging deeper into the improvisational vortex. We can be certain there will be junctures where you find yourself thinking, “I can’t believe how good these guys are!”
In addition to their Phish influences, Shaky Feelin draws heavily from the Grateful Dead, String Cheese Incident, Sublime, The Beatles, reggae, bluegrass and all the best classic rock. Dedicated live music enthusiasts with a keen ability to understand and deliver precisely what each performance requires at any given moment.
Prepare for an all-out dance party as the intricate bass grooves of Jeff Hiller and polyrhythmic drumming of Paul Menchaca open gateways into alternate dimensions.
Jackson Gillies is a 24-year-old independent singer/songwriter/producer residing in Santa Barbara, California. Jackson plays solo acoustic, with a trio and JAX PLAYS DEAD which is a Grateful Dead cover band. Jackson's notables include being featured on a Kenny Loggins compilation album called CaliAmericana II; placing top 69 on "American Idol,' of which the Facebook audition has over 28 million views; being awarded a Youth Philanthropy Award and giving the first ever TEDx talk about HS (hidradenitis suppurativa); producing and playing in the first ever HS Awareness Concert; winning the title of Teen Star USA in 2016; and co-producing and performing in the Emmy-Award winning Concert "Teens Sing for Santa Barbara" with Kenny Loggins which raised over 75,000 dollars for the Thomas Fire and Montecito debris flow survivors.
Jackson attended the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. He produces his own music and for clients and his debut album "High & Low" will be released on April 26, 2024. Jackson wrote, recorded, performed, mixed and produced the album in his studio for his record label 58Records
