SHAKTI TEMPLE DANCE is a sacred synthesis of temple dance, bellydance and yoga, all infused with devotional intent.
In this 4 week series we will learn refine and expand in our dance technique while learning a ritual dance that honors the coming of the light and the bright bloom and beauty of this later spring, early summer season. Our choreography is set on the song
“Warmth of the Sun's Rays” by Temple Step Project
We will combine the serpentine, earthy hip work of bellydance with the precisely aligned geometric tempe dance postures, patterns, balances and mudras discovering the harmonious conversation between these complimentary forms and styles.
We will drill, detail and refine the techniques of the dance while also connecting with our movement as an intentional devotional offering.
The first hour of these classes are perfect for dancers newer to the form and those who are intermediate can stay for an extra half an hour to learn more advanced stylizations.
* Two years of consistent dance practice recommended for Intermediate/Advanced last half an hour.
$72 for the 60 min session
